Sun City Ultra Triathlon

A race that never disappoints! Belated congratulations to all the participants of the recent triathlon event!

This year was even more exciting, adding on another event being the qualification event for the Youth Commonwealth Games.

TTA is proud to say that we had 38 phenomenal athletes partaking in this fun filled event.

In the Ultra Triathlon – 153 we had 4 athletes participating.

To complete an event of this magnitude is an exceptional achievement. We take our hat off to you.

Well done to Guy Crichton, Adriaan Wooding, Albert Verster and Renier Venter.

Athlete Adriaan Myburgh came home with the Silver medal, finishing in a time of 3:59.

Well done to Pieterjan Van der Merwe, Patrice Gautier, Collen Rautenbach, Ryan Way, Wayne Smit, Gideon Broodryk and Jandru Marais.

In the Aquabike category we had Dirkie Prinsloo coming 1st in her age category 60-64. Well done Dirkie!

In the Sprint Category we had 23 TTA athletes. An event for the books where the overall podium had TTA athletes taking 1st and 2nd Place. Well done Gizelde Strauss and Mia van der Veen.

Our star athletes on the day taking home Gold in he Age Category division was Andy Robertson, Johann Pretorius.

Silver medal winners in Age category division was Ruan van Zyl, Robert Ford, Yolande Cowley and Christa Pretorius.

Bronze medal winners in Age category division was Caleb van der Veen, Denise Higgins.

To all the other athletes Abraham Storm, Fanie Joubert, John Fourie, Jacques Smith, Divan Nel, Vernon Naude, Michael van der Merwe, Johan Prinsloo, Donovan Smith, Lizelle Labuschagne, Marinda Pretorius, Francois Joubert and Mark Fourie.
